The Townsend, Wall & Wyatt Department Store in historic downtown St. Joseph is now home to senior citizens following its conversion to (47) apartments with recreational areas. National Park Service criteria were followed to preserve items of historical interest while units were designed for the comfort of tenants.
The building ground floor lobby was maintained as an entryway and community room for tenant use.
